Back in Stock: how it works
Shoppers leave an email on a sold-out size and are alerted the moment it returns - and the waiting list tells you what to reorder.

A sold-out size is a shopper who already decided to buy. Back in Stock keeps them: a “Notify me when available” button appears on the sold-out variant, they leave an email, and they hear the moment it returns.
Per size, not per product
Requests are recorded against the exact variant. That is the whole point - telling someone waiting for the medium that “it's back” when only the extra-small returned is a wasted email and a lost sale. It also means the waiting list is a real demand report: how many people want each size, before you place the order.
Guests included
Most people who hit a sold-out page are not signed in. The button does not ask them to make an account - an email address is enough, and it is the only thing the form requires.
Setting it up
- Activate the Back in Stock add-on on the Plans and Add-ons page.
- Add the Back in Stock block to your product template, under the add-to-cart button.
- Check the notify rules on the Back in Stock page - see Alert rules.
- Optionally connect a destination under Connections if you would rather send the alert from your own tool - see How the alert reaches the shopper.
Nothing else is required. The alert is sent for you unless you turn that off, so the feature works from the moment the block is on the page.
